Hokkaido Bread (soft bread ) 北海道のパン ( 柔らかいパン)北海道面包

About this Hokkaido bread, before I was introduced to Tang Zhong,
my bread was not as soft as Hokkaido Bread.
Ever since I discovered this awesome recipe, I am a loyal fans of my own creation.

So here I am going to share with you guys this awesome recipe & I hope you can try it out.
Tang Zhong ( Starter )
150g high protein flour
150g Water 
1/4 tsp yeast

Leave them refrigerated for 12 hours ( until the next day )
before adding with another ingredients

Ingredient A 
100g water ( room temperature )
60g fresh milk ( room temperature )
2 tsp yeast
70g granulated sugar / brown sugar

Ingredient B
360g high protein flour
80g butter ( melted butter )
1/4 tsp yeast


Egg Wash
Brush twice , 10 minutes each time
3 tbsp milk ( room temperature )
1 egg yolk

So let's get started !


1. Mix the starter ( Tang Zhong ) & leave them refrigerated overnight or 12 hours.

2.The next day, place ingredients A into TM bowl to mix

Time: 1 minute
Temperature : 37 degree Celsius
Speed : 3

3. Add in ingredients B & starter batter into TM bowl to mix

Time : 30 seconds
Temperature : No needed
Speed : 0 - 3 to 6

4.Set dial to closed lid position and knead on interval to speed.
Remove the dough to mat.

Time: 3 min
Temperature : No needed 
Speed : dough mode

Remove the dough to a mat or a big bowl.
Leave them sit for half and hour before knead them in into shapes. 
Before half an hour 
After half an hour - Big big dough baby.

The dough are moisten  & a little sticky , not too dry.
I suggest knead with a little flour on your palm.

After kneading your dough to the shapes you want, 
let them rest for an hour , cover them with a dry cloth / mat
 Before popping them into the oven,
brush them with egg wash & sesame seeds.

Bake them immediately after egg wash.

Bake for 25 - 30 minutes
After baking.............

Tahhhdahhhhh....

I egg wash them twice, 10 minutes once.
Look how soft they are!

2D1N - First Time to Pulau Pangkor Part I

Hello Hello... It's a tripping blog!  Pangkor Trip 2 Days 1 Night : 17th - 18th July 2015 2 Days 1 night So, it's my very first time visiting Pulau Pangkor.  It's pretty exciting!  Cause usually I have my sister joining us along the trip or my boy friend will join along with my family for the trip. But last minute, turn up 3 of us included mama & daddy .
So , a not really planned trip was organized & my mind was totally blanked as I have a 0% knowledge and understand of Pulau Pangkor. 
What I know was '' maybe I can see turtles ! '' But wait, isn't that at Pulau Redang?  Ok-Ok- I don't know anything about Pulau Pangkor & I am looking forward to understand more about you.
